"Some City Centre Ministries":

Street Pastors

Street Pastors exercise a ministry on the streets of Leicester city centre (and elsewhere in the city and county) on Friday nights and also on some Saturday nights. They seek to make real on the streets the love we speak about in our churches and it is a ministry designed to meet people where they are. They offer a listening ear but also basic practical help by, for instance giving out flip flops to young women whose shoes are killing them after a night on the dance floor and by giving blankets out to those sleeping on the streets.

City Centre Retail and Workplace Chaplaincy - "Faith - support in the workplace"

This ecumenical ministry, with the support of the Council of Faiths, operates in the shops, malls and offices of the city centre. It meets people where they are and we can offer support in the workplace environment and elsewhere.

CQLYFE

This is an ecumenical fresh expression of church in the cultural quarter of Leicester, which meets on the first Tuesday of every month

Churches Together in Leicester City Centre

This ecumenical network supports the above ministries and meets for prayer at a different church on the first Thursday of every month at 1230.

Cathedral AM

This is a bi-monthly breakfast meeting with an invited speaker, held in the Cathedral Visitors Centre. It is an informal forum for people who live in, work in, or have a particular concern for our city centre

Christ in the Centre

The annual celebration of the Good News of Easter on the streets of uor city centre, attracting crowds of up to 10,000
